What Does The Old Testament Is The New Testament Concealed And The New Testament Is The Old Testament Revealed Mean?

The saying the Old Testament is the New Testament concealed and the New Testament is the Old Testament revealed  is a very popular and old saying for non commandment keeping Christians. It’s not in the Bible but it has some truth. Ironically  non commandment keeping Christians don’t follow the Torah even though this popular saying would mean they should. This saying is similar to Ecclesiastes 3:14-15 [14] I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him. [15] That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past.

The Old Testament tells us what is to come and the New Testament is the performance of what the Old Testament said. The New Testament is written with the assumption that you have already read the OT.  For instance Paul says in Romans 10:8 [8] But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;….What is the “IT”Paul is speaking of?  The answer is Dueteronmy 30:14 from the Old Testament. The “IT” is the actual scripture: [14] But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it. Romans 10:8 is the fulfillment of Deuteronomy 30:14 or the infamous confess and believe with you heart.

Another example would be in Matthew 24:15 Yahshua says:
[15] When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Yahshua is pointing to what Daniel said in 9:27 which is about Antiochus Epiphanies would do in the Maccabean Revolt. You have to read the Old Testament to understand the New Testament. Yahshua was using Daniel 9:27 to liken what Antiochus Epiphanies in 1 Maccabees did to render the temple desolate to the future destruction of the Temple in 70ad. Which is why I hate the Apocrypha is not in the Bible.

John 10:22 is another great example.
[22] And it was at Jerusalem the feast of the dedication, and it was winter.
The writer assumes the reader knows what the feast of dedication is. One problem the feast of dedication is not in the Old Testament per say but it is. Guess where it is in the apocrypha in the 1st book of Maccabees. You can see that in my Hanukkah class. https://youtu.be/2aPegyClO5U

Lastly, the New Testament if the fulfillment of the Old Testament. One could teach the whole Bible with just the book of Genesis and one could also teach the the whole bible with just the book of Revelation alone. Why is that? Because the Old Testament is New Testament concealed and New Testament is Old Testament revealed. Yahshua was always saying “that it might be fulfilled”. The “IT” was always the Old Testament  scriptures and prophecies. If anyone goes outside of the scriptures and prophecies they are telling lies. The Old Testament  and the New Testament  are the same and mirror one another. After all 1 Peter 4:11 and Isaiah 8:20 says the same.
